1. About Sportsup

Sportsup is operated by Marcus Hedlund as a sole trader. Address: Övre Husargatan 20, 413 14 Gothenburg, Sweden. Country of operation: Sweden.

Contact: info@sportsup.se.

2. Website terms

The website is provided as is, without warranties. You may not scrape, copy, or use the content for automated analysis without our written permission.

3. App license

The iOS app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

4. 18+ requirement

Sportsup is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not use Sportsup.

At first launch the app asks for your full date of birth so it can verify that you are at least 18. The date of birth itself is not stored after the check. See the Privacy Policy for the exact fields retained.

5. Alcohol-themed entertainment and responsible use

Sportsup is a party trivia game with alcohol references. The penalty mechanic is abstract: what a penalty means is up to the group. The app does not require alcohol consumption.

Users are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where they play, including any legal drinking age, and for drinking responsibly. Drink slowly, alternate with water, never drive after playing, and stop if anyone in the group is uncomfortable. Anyone who serves alcohol to others is responsible for ensuring that every participant meets the legal drinking age that applies where the game is played and is not impaired or in a vulnerable state.

6. No real-money betting

The odds and multipliers shown on each question (for example 1.5x or 3x) are game mechanics only. They are a difficulty and penalty indicator: higher odds mean the question is harder and a miss costs more penalties. They are not wagers, predictions, bets, or any form of stake.

Sportsup is not a gambling service. Nothing in the game can be exchanged for money, prizes, or goods, and the app never accepts or pays out anything of monetary value.

7. In-app purchases

Paid quiz packs are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. All packs are non-consumable one-time purchases. Sportsup offers no subscriptions and no purchase auto-renews. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm the purchase.

Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple under the App Store refund process at https://support.apple.com/HT204084. Sportsup cannot issue refunds directly because we never receive your payment details.

To restore previous purchases on a new device: open Sportsup, go to Settings > Purchases > Restore purchases. Apple will reattach every pack tied to the Apple ID currently signed in on the device.

8. Content accuracy

Sports trivia is provided for entertainment. Some sports facts (records, rosters, transfers) change over time, and Sportsup makes no guarantee that every quiz item will remain current forever. We ship content updates regularly to keep the question bank accurate, and you can report mistakes at info@sportsup.se.

9. Acceptable use

When using Sportsup you agree not to: reverse engineer the app or attempt to extract the question bank in bulk; tamper with the entitlement sync to access paid content you have not purchased; scrape the app or its backend; or otherwise attempt to bypass paid access, security, or rate limits.

10. No affiliation with teams, leagues, or athletes

Sportsup is an independent trivia app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any sports league, federation, club, broadcaster, team, athlete, coach, or rights holder mentioned in the questions. All league names, club names, athlete names, tournament names, and event names are used solely for descriptive trivia purposes and remain the property of their respective owners. No team kits, club crests, league logos, or athlete likenesses are reproduced in the app or on this website.

11. Limitation of liability

Sportsup is provided for entertainment. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sportsup, its operator, and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including any decision to consume alcohol while playing. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory consumer rights granted to you by Swedish or EU law.

12. Governing law

Swedish law applies and these terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Consumers resident in the EU retain the mandatory protections of their local law and may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Disputes that cannot be resolved by contacting info@sportsup.se will be settled by Swedish courts unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.
